As search engines do not read javascript , so never try to use a menu which is defined with javascript. Use always the Unordered list based menus they directly merged into your page source. Keep your backlink ratio high:

Try to get a one way link back from High PR (page rank) websites. This will boost your ranking in search engines. You can buy some links on high pr websites. Or you can also exchange your links with other webmasters.
